oops double post

what other sharpener do you have?

Received my shipping confirmation yesterday, can't wait to sharpen some knives finally! I'll report back in when I have a chance to use it.

I have not received an updated email with a different date so I'm expecting to have my WE ship tomorrow per the latest email. I hope that I that will not be disappointed again... Most of my knives are in need of a good sharpening.

I'm going to give Clay a chance to ship based on the date in the latest email considering it is so close to the ship date. However, should they not hit that date then I will cancel my order as well. I'm not sure if I will stick with the WE and maybe try the Apex instead.

Hopefully, everything is in order for hitting the deadline. I'm sure the WE is a good product but my patience will have run out by this time.

Well, just received an email that my order is delayed again due to transportation issues... While I have patience; this is starting to become increasingly frustrating as I have been pushed out another 2 weeks. I was originally emailed a November 11 ship date from the original delay of 6-8 weeks back in early August. I already received my cermanic stones and now just waiting for my order pro-pack to be fulfilled. I hope that the 800 and 1000 stones are included with this shipment.


Sorry about venting but I cannot help to feel a little disappointment.

I was thinking that I would have to try and do something with some blank paddles...I will buy some diamond files and do some expertimenting when I receive my WE. I have my 1200/1600 paddles now; just wanting for the rest!

I have some interest in sprays as well, how many sprays/squirts do you give each paddle? How often do you have to apply the diamonds the the leather paddles?

The serrations seem pretty large... I was thinking about just sharpening the non serrated side has a regular knife as you mentioned and then try a round cermanic stone on the serrated side. I was scared that I would wreck the knife by only sharpening one side. Next time I visit her, I will bring the knives home with me and upload some pictures.

I thought I read somewhere that Clay was working on a serrated blade attachment. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Any news on the serrated blade attachment(s) for the WE? My mother-in-law used a glass cutting board with her wusthof bread and tomato serrated blades, and the teeth are destroyed. I recently bought her a bamboo board so I hope that this will prevent any further damage to her knives. I would like to see if I can save both knives as the bottom part of the serrated teeth appear to be bent over to the non-serrated side of the knife blade. Do you guys/gals know a way of sharpening them without a special attachment(s) to the WE or a product that will sharpen them correctly?

My cermanic stones made its way to my house before my Pro Pack. Nothing like a big tease...

Just received an email that stated a delivery date of Nov. 11 for me as well. My order number is 2309. I wonder if the pro pak will include the 800 and 1000 stones or will it be shipped without them. I'm hoping that is not the case considering the longer than expected wait.
