TOPIC: Arm Play

Arm Play 9 months ago #4618

How much play is acceptable in the arms of the wicker edge ? I just bought one and there seems to be alot of slop in the arms.

I found this also.

Results are still really good if you develop a consistent technique.
I have seen some mods which include replacing the arm pin with a screw and fitting a washer.
Looks like it tightens it up quite a bit.
Not sure if it is something Clay did?

The new arms are the target for my attention.

We do perform that mod here. I've also heard from a lot of people that push the pin out on their own, add the washer and then replace the pin and are seeming to have good results with it. The next batch of new arms will be ready in about 2 weeks. Billabong is absolutely right about developing a consistent technique - that's all I ever did for years and got great results. Once you train the motion it becomes second nature.
