Re: uneven bevels?

I have noticed a weird phenomenon occur which seems to be a constant. When I mount a knife on the riser clamp in the PP2 and set the angle of the guide rods with the stones in place to say 18 or 20 or whatever angle I decide, the width of the bevel is wider on one side than the other. That is the width measured from the apex of the edge to the bottom of the shoulder of the bevel.
I know that the clamp only moves on one side which causes you to have to compensate and use the angle cube to determine the correct angle, however using the angle cube and very carefully checking both sides to be sure they are exactly the same, (say 18 degrees for example), it seems like the bevel should be exactly the same size on both. I can't seem to understand why this happens. I am not math wiz but it seems like they should be the same. Yet they are definitely not, even just by eyeballing them, without calipers, it is clearly different.
Any ideas? Is it human error or is there just a difference due to the riser clamp not being centered evenly between the rods?
Do you have the same experience or is it just me?
I have noticed the same problem..

Sorry to barge in off topic! I placed an order about two weeks ago for the new arms and have yet to be charged for them or hear anything about it. I have placed two phone calls along with an email over the past week inquiring about the status and have yet to hear anything back from anyone which I feel is quite uncommon. Did anyone else run into similar problems? Maybe I need to be more patient?
I ordered mine 8/27/12 and the lady i takled to said they should ship 8/30/12 but no later than 9/3/12

Re: Kershaw/Zero Tolerance: 05 ...
It`s the pro pack and I have had it for a couple weeks. I bought a angle cube and im setting the angles with it and I have noticed that the angle changes as I lift the stones while resting on the edge of the knife. I think it from the movement or play in the arms. I sent a email today about some of the new arms.

Re: Kershaw/Zero Tolerance: 05 ...
I have a 0560 and can`t get it sharp on my wicked edge to save my life.
I see videos on youtube of people poping hair on there edge but the only way i can get my knives to that point is hand sharpening. What am i doing wrong ?

Re: Slightly uneven bevels
I am having the same problem. Even with the angle cube mine are still off by a little. I think its because of the slop in the arms. I am going to order a set of the new arms and see if they solve this problem.

Re: Sticky edge
By sticky i mean that if you rub you fingers on the blade it will suck into your fingers. I can save hair with my ZT 0560 and 810 Contego but i can pull the edge across my fingers with no resistance or pull into them.

Sticky edge
Can someone give me some advice on getting my edge sticky sharp or have some bite ? I can get the knife sharp but there is no bite at all to the edge. I have the pro pack wicked edge and im raising a burr on both sides. Also the edge seems to feel sharper rubbing the blade in one direction vs the other.

Arm Play
How much play is acceptable in the arms of the wicker edge ? I just bought one and there seems to be alot of slop in the arms.
