These Diamond Stones have a break-in period of about 20 sharpening sessions and an average lifespan of 700 sharpenings.

Bought these at Bladeshow and so far I’m really pleased

Everything from fish knives to Shun carving knives

I have been using this sharpener for ten years on my fishing and hunting knives.
It does a great job on my Shun and Wusthof kitchen knives as well.
My hunting and fishing buddies are impressed with how sharp my knives are.
The only downside is that they want there knives sharpened too.

Just use lapping film

I got these to replace 6mu and 3mu lapping films; hoping for a more long lasting option. The 3,000 grit stone diamonds rubbed off on one side all the way down to the nickel base and is now inoperable. Leaves a pretty good finish but still not as good as the 3mu lapping films after 1500 diamond. These seem to be more fragile than the 1500 diamond stones as well. Like I said, one became inoperable while being broken in

Hi Jacob,
We'd love to see some pictures of the stones where the diamonds rubbed off. They are almost certainly defective and are covered under our warranty. The new stones haven't been on the market long enough to wear that quickly without some kind of defect.
