It adds a little extra versatility to an already great knife sharpener!
Works fairly well but puts a line on the finish of your knife. Glad I didn't use a good knife with this sharpener. That needs to be told to people up front. Other than that works well. Not something I will use often since it does a number on finishes. Should not have to put tape on a knife to protect it.

I bought BB the portable veture series which has a few minor differences to the pro but none that truly would affect the performance or ability to sharpen. I have several sharpening systems and this has to be the best value and most effective sharpener that I have. The only thing needed is to a way to tell what angle guide your blade needs but you can do it the old fashioned and cheap way ( sharpie method) or use another of your fixed angle sharpeners to establish the angle. Once you know your angle, this thing flat out is a breeze to use and puts a heck of a beautiful edge on the blade ( and I have only been able to go up to 500 grit until my other finer sharpening stones come in). I did get the 100/200 stone to reprofile the blade done to 15degrees if it falls in between 15 and 17. The 100/200 stones do a marvelous job of quickly adjusting the angle ( I just use diamond lapping fluid when using low grit stones which is cheap on Amazon). I have knives made of steel that could really benefit from the finer stones so U can’t wait until they get here. Thank You Wicked Edge for making a fantastic product!!
the venture series sharpener is awesome. the included items worked very well. I ordered all the angle guides shortly after recieving the system, knowing this was a great setup. then I tried ordering more diamond stones. this was the only grit combination available at the time and it was a full 7 days late showing up. I want the other higher grit stones, but who knows when they'll be back in stock, or if they'll show up on time when I order them.
One of the straps was completely separated from the block and two are pealing. Not great quality.
