I did thourough research before picking up a Wicked Edge and many of the reviews that I came across had at least one complaint about these systems that I beleived was a valid consideration. Though, after putting roughly ~100 knives through my WE66, I found that nearly all these "issues" could be solved with very simple adjustments. Overall, this thing is an absolute dream to use compared to any other fixed system I've got my hands on. It feels like it was built around the perfectionist in me. Sure, it may take a touch more setup than some other options, but that doesn't matter to me. All I care about, besides repeatability (which it knocks out of the park), is getting either an absolutely beautiful mirror finish, or a blazing utility edge. That is exactly what these guys are all about. If you're on the fence about picking up a WE, I would personally recommend jumping into it and getting the learning curve over with. Once you do, you will never look back.
