These medium coarse handles allow you to remove the deeper scratches left from coarser stones with the 400 grit and finish with a great, toothy working edge on the 600 grit. These Diamond Stones have a break-in period of about 20 sharpening sessions and an average lifespan of 700 sharpenings.
