The 100/200 Grit Diamond Stones are very coarse and aggressively remove metal. These stones are meant to reshape, reprofile, and fix damage to blades. For routine maintenance, these stones are too aggressive. These Diamond Stones have a break-in period of about 20 sharpening sessions and an average lifespan of 700 sharpenings.
