This base is made from solid Aluminum. It's designed to keep your sharpener steady while in use. This aluminum base is finished with a black powder coating, making it easy to clean. It has four rubber feet on the bottom to provide stability and protect the surface it rests on. The top of the base includes a recessed area to store small parts like the Vise Key and Alignment Guide as well as a dedicated storage slot for the Depth Key.

The sharpener can be mounted to the base via the included #10-32 x 1 Flat Head Screws.
