Perfect for the finishing touch! It took a while to arrive, but these stones make a huge difference in creating a great finished edge. It gives my blades the out of box factory sharpness they tend to lose after a while.
This is an excellent knife sharpener. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is the instructions didn’t mention how to set it up. I had to rely on utube for that.

I've been a Wicked Edge user for 15 or more years the Venture is an excellent addition for quick EDC and kitchen knife touch ups the 1000 grit stone should be a strongly recommend option when purchasing a Venture. I believe it should be a std part of the Venture but understandably in order to keep it affordable they did not add it. If purchasing a Venture shapener just get you'll be very happy you did.
