Best sharpener I have used

I have used a lot of different sharpeners for years, all of the systems I own have some limitations. This is by far the easiest system I have ever used. There are some issues with this because you can't sharpen flat grind without some modification.
I do wish I had waited and bought the WE130 instead. But over all I have not complaints, and this will put an excellent edge with minimum amount of work.

Overpriced
Must not make there own product

It’s obvious they don’t make their own product. Otherwise, why would every sharpener be out of stock? They probably make them in a China sweat and then charge an extreme markup. I’m not saying it’s not a good product but it’s very over priced.

We do make our own product. Each piece is precision machined by an American worker at our facility in Mesa, Arizona. The reason we're currently out of stock on all sharpener models is that we are out of diamond stones and all the sharpeners use the same diamond stones. We're out of stones because demand in January was up 300% and we didn't anticipate that much growth.

Perfection, shinny like mirror, sharp like scalpel!

Hands down the best system on the market today, the perfect edition to any knife collector. The consistency is 100% I can put a better edge on most 300.00 Plus knives IE Elmax this is the best investment in my opinion, when your buying 500.00 knives you need a system that is up to the high end results we all dream about. ~Chris G.

Scary Sharp

I must say, after having my WE100 for one day, it’s the best sharpener I have ever used in 60 years. Had them all but nothing comes close to this one. Easy to use with wicked results.
The way it’s made will last you your lifetime and the results will amaze anyone who appreciates a sharp edge.
A little pricey but worth every penny.

Thanks for putting a USA product that I will cherish the rest of my life and my children and grandchildren.

Very good sharpener

This machine will take a knife from sharp to a level of sharpness that is beyond how sharp the knife was when it was new out of the box. The quality is top-notch. When using it you can tell you are using a quality knife sharpener. OK, now for the reason for 4 stars.
After unpacking the knife sharpener, and reading all the literature that came with it, I was excited to try it out for the first time. I inserted the depth key, placed a knife into the jaws, using the supplied Allen key to lock the jaws down onto the blade. When removing the depth key, it came out with only one prong on it, with the other one left inside the jaws. This may seem like a trivial issue, but I can't help but feel that when you spend $400.00 dollars on a knife sharpener, something as important as the depth key would be made with the same quality as the rest of the machine. Maybe the prongs should be made from steel so this would be avoided. I have not contacted customer service because to me it's not worth the hassle. I'm just going to make one myself which I know won't break upon first use. Other than that, this is one great machine.

Hi Rodney,
Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about your Depth Key breaking. We haven't had any reports before of them breaking, but we'll start keeping an eye out for it now. We'll get another sent your way asap. I'm glad you're enjoying the sharpener. Please let us know if you need anything else.
