Pro-Pack III (Discontinued)

Love a razor sharp knife. Broke down and bought quality Japanese stones and the whole kit. Practiced for hours. Got to the point I could get a nice edge but just not quite there. Took the dive and purchased the Pro Pack 3. 20 knives in, I can't believe the edge you can put on a wide variety of knives. Folders, fixed blade, long, short, wide with a wide range of profiles. Trick is proper placement of knife in the vice. Video tutorials are extremely helpful. Got to the point I finished two brand new Benchmade Freeks purchased as Christmas presents and improved the edge by 25%. Becoming proficient takes a little time and practice on beaters but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. Already have ordered fine ceramics, more lapping handles/tapes and finer strops. Kit is pricey but the technology is superior and the fit and finish excellent. Two thumbs up for a designing and manufacturing a great product.

I watched all the videos on this sharpener and read ALL the reviews. The biggest complaint was the cost or someone somewhere could achieve the same results for a fraction of the money. I've been into knives (collecting and sharpening ) for over 30 years and thought I knew what sharp was. This Wicked edge system takes sharp to another level. If you understand the basic fundamentals of sharpening and believe you can get better results from free hand sharpening you really need to try this unit. I can clearly justify the price for the WE pro pack III. It is an investment to those who value their high end knives and it makes a $35 knife worthy of carrying. In my honest opinion the WE pro pack III is under priced. I chose the granite base instead of the aluminum base because I felt the extra weight would be beneficial. Everything included just screams quality and will become something you would want to pass down to your children, its that well made. To me , this is something truly worth saving for and if your on the fence I urge you to read the warranty and the return policy. These guys are first class all the way and you will not regret your investment.

Awesome set and love the hard case for everything! I had to spend the extra cash and get the pro III for the better clamping base, I didn’t really want to mess with the allen screw clamp even though im sure it holds just fine. Had to learn some techniques and found lots of helpful videos on YouTube. Used the gatco system for a while and it worked well but this thing sharpens with %100 precision! Ive been getting some beautiful mirror edge finishes on my quality blades. My main complaints are the clamp seems too tight on some of my blades and i feel im going to damage it when locking it down sometimes, tried the 1/4” clamps to try for better fit, sometimes it helps and sometimes not. Wondering if i should try some dry lube on the cam? Other complaint is not enough slots in the hard case for all the extra stones. I’ve been slowly collecting more stones, strops & blanks for nano cloths but by the time I’ve collected all I’ll need for what i want i am short 2 or 3 sets worth of storage spots in the hard case... One last gripe is there should be an option to get the set with the granite base instead of the aluminum. I definitely would have went with the upgrade considering how much i was already spending...

Either way i have no regrets! I will have this thing for life and I’m sure my son will be using it after my time is up. Thank you Wicked Edge for the awesomely designed sharpener! I love it and my wife loves that all her kitchen knives can widdle hair now! 👍🏻👍🏻

I purchase the 2016 model PP 3 in March of 2017 and I've been more than satisfied with my purchase. This package is complete with all you will need to sharpen and maintain your knives with very good results. After trying several sharpening systems, the Wicked Edge Pro Pack 3 is one of the very best investments that I've ever made.
