I now have all the accessories for the venture sharpener and I think it's a solid system. good grit progression if you have all the stones. glad I got the 100/200 for a small amount of reprofiling to match up the angles to the guides. great for the average knife person.
The Venture Pro works as advertised and puts on a good edge. If it was just a little bit larger it would be easier to use.

It’s a great idea and does the job but definitely has some flaws. The angle guide gets stuck off and on. Also because it plastic or 3D **** when you are sharpening sometimes the blade rides into the plastic. Really that my only issues. Other than that it’s a great sharpener.

Thank you for your review. A quick note on the construction - the parts are injection molded. The body is ABS and the Knife Guide is Delrin. We chose Delrin for three reasons:
1) It has high natural lubricity so it generally works well as a bearing material
2) It's very tough
3) It's just soft enough and non-abrasive so it's not a concern for your knife to make contact with it.
