800/1000 Grit Diamond Stones Pack

Perfect addition to my father’s sharpening system.

The stones are great and Wicked Edge is even greater. One of the stones had a defect and they sent me a new set, no questions asked. The new set works great and my knives are razor sharp

So the 800/1000 grit stones work wonders. Even before I invested in the 1500/2200 grit stones (which are also insanely amazing), these 800/1000 stones put some excellent edges on my knives. But that's not the main reason for this review.

After sharpening many, many knives, the 800 grit stones fell off the handles. I was a little dismayed, but decided to make use of the advice on the Wicked Edge forums and contact the company about how I might repair them. Living in Canada, I didn't expect the warranty to cover international shipping, and so I figured I would be best served to try and repair them myself.

I sent my email on a Monday night. By Tuesday morning I had received a reply offering to ship me new stones at no cost, and by Wednesday morning, Wicked Edge had confirmed that I had new stones in the mail, complete with tracking number.

That kind of customer service is RARE in the present day. I commend Wicked Edge not only for the quality of their sharpening system, but also for their dedication to taking care of their customer base. A huge thanks to Ryan, one of the company's Customer Success Managers, for an incredibly timely and helpful response.

TL;DR - These sharpening stones are incredible, and Wicked Edge has a customer service/warranty policy second to NONE.

Great addition to the last 600 grit paddles from the Field and Sport system. I have found that I like a mirror finish on my blades so I continue on through all of the diamond and ceramic paddles. Then on to stropping. These stones kick off a very nice layer of metal getting you ready for the micro ceramics. You don't need a lot of pressure with these, you can feel the metal coming off with every pass. Worth every cent!!
