Survived a house fire!

This knife sharpener has really brought myself to a new understanding of sharp. I’ll never forget my first time sharpening a knife on this monster. If your knife isn’t sharp after using this thing you’re doing something dramatically wrong.

Also the title isn’t a lie back on June 3rd 2023 my house completely burnt down to the ground. 3 days after I returned to see if I could salvage anything and out of the corner of my eye I see the case stuck under some floor boards. The case was super melted but everything inside looked just like how it did when I packed it away. So just the case alone is worth buying this system!

Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic!

With the new pricing, I ordered a GEN 3 with the V2 jaws. I also ordered the 1500/glass stone. First, I was impressed with the case. It’s not a cheap flimsy case. It is an absolute high-end, super quality, fly anywhere travel bullet proof Case. The first night by mounted to sharpen what’s a Spyderco PM2 in S90V. My progression was 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 6 micron, diamond tape. The results were an hair piping sharp edge in under 5 minutes. Super happy with the results and how easy it is to get them. A big thanks to Clay Allison for all the effort he and his team have put into producing such a great product.

I've spent, I wanted the best

I told Clay on one of his Youtube videos, "I feel the Wicked Edge, was purposely designed to bring out any O.C.D tendencies someone may have".
I was so on the fence when I purchased the first sharpener. of which one, should I get?? I went with the 130/pro-pack 3. Sure it comes with about everything you'd need. But, after a few months doing a lot of sharpening for myself and even some paying customers, I felt that it was a bit "fiddly".
After watching videos of the Gen 3 Pro. Especially when it came to quickly adjusting. Getting a big shining mirror bevel, just felt fiddly adjusting my W.E. 130.
I have the type of Wicked Edge OCD that has me up at 4am and sharpening/experimenting/learning, and by the time I know it, it's 10:30am, and this happens several days of the week. It's another angle to my own extensive Youtube channel. The Gen 3 Pro is just plan faster!
I sold my WE130, I sold my Worksharp precision angle sharpener. And haven't looked back since. I'm thoroughly enjoying the Gen 3 Pro. My only concern is that it's seems I don't get full use of the stones on the Gen 3 Pro as much as I had on the WE130. I still have all the accessories from the 130 Pro Pack, I kept them!
I've done about 50 customer knives from Fillet knives with rust and massive chips to thick bush-craft, huge slabs of steel called survival knives, and others with fine black coatings on the blade.
Go Gen 3 Pro, save time and $$. And add in other stones/strops as you go along.

Lots and lots of use...

Ive had this for about two years now and if I had to do it over again I would buy this same tool. Seriously, the quality and attention to detail is astounding. Ive waited to write a review for good reason but after running a few hundred knives through mine I think I can give an honest opinion.

The stones are awesome. Ive used a lot of diamond stones in the past but you can just feel that these cut even on some of the tougher alloys.

This system isn't messy and the case is great. I used whetstones for a long time and am very comfortable with them but they're messy. Therefore they stay in the shop that is cold and dusty. I set this system up on my desk in the house. When I am done it goes back into its very well made pelican type case and tucks away into the corner. It's really neat.

These are some things I would change on the next model. First, give the third shelf with the purchase and give enough tolerance to fit three stones on their sides. With something so precisely machined it saddens me that this was looked past... Ive seen other people do it but I need to throw it on the mill and take off a hair or two to make the stones fit. Second, Take out the play in the stones. It might just be my stones but it makes a well designed tool feel cheep when they wobble. Third, throw in a pair of cut resistant gloves. Trust me...

Lastly, it comes with a learning curve and it isn't a "quick" sharpen. I have lots more to say but ran out of room. Contact me wicked edge :)

Hi Gavin,
Thank you for your review. You make some excellent points. The next revision of this model will definitely accommodate more stones on the shelves. I'd like to hear more about the play of the stones that you mention. Please feel free to email me directly with your thoughts: clay.allison@wickededgeusa.com

Just wanted the Best.

I am not a professional knife sharpener, I just wanted a system to help me Sharpen knifes around the house. I did a lot of research on systems and decided on the WE320 for my needs. It was not cheap but I received it today, and it was packed very nice in a case. As I gazed on this amazing sharpening system i hoped it would be worth it. So i read the instruction manual set up the WE320 and started to Sharpen my 1st knife. I was shock at how efficient this system works. Being new to sharpening Knives I got a very sharp edge on a old damaged knife i had laying around. If your able to get this system i highly recommend it. I'm sure I will only get better as time goes on. Would like to Thank Wicked Edge for this system and will definitely tell anyone looking to get a knife sharpening system to look into this one.
